About Aptos
Aptos was launched in 2022 by Mo Shaikh and Avery Ching, both former Meta engineers who worked on the Diem (Libra) blockchain project. It uses the Move programming language, originally developed at Meta, to write safe and flexible smart contracts.
Aptos achieves high throughput through its parallel execution engine (BlockSTM), which processes multiple transactions simultaneously rather than sequentially.
